Looks like Venice, doesn’t it?  Well it’s not!  It’s Corfu, the all-green island of the Ionian Sea with the beautifuly preserved old buildings, the style and the temperament of the Corfian people (a bit crazy, like all the other ones at the Ionian Sea – but we love them) and the habits left from a glorious past, such as the Opera House, the (God knows how many) bands, cricket games on the Spianada (main square) and Lord’s like behavior and manners of the locals!

If you are planning for a long weekend to Greece during March, you will have a fantastic time spending it on Corfu between the 15th to the 18th, by having the experience and joy of the last day of the carnival with the all day and night celebrations and parties especially in the city of Corfu, and that of Ash Monday (Clean Monday) with ouzo, fishy and other tasty stuff, Halva (Semolina pastry) and lots and lots of music!
