Ash Monday or Clean Monday is the day after the last Carnival, the beginning of the Great Lent (40 days period) for the Christians and it is celebrated in Greece by going out to the countryside with lots of fishy delicacies to eat, ouzo, wine, music and by flying the kites.

If in Athens on the 18th of March head for the Filopappos Hill (across the Acropolis) where the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens will welcome the audience with happy rhythms from 11:00, while at 12:00 the music group “Charisma” will take the stage taking everybody to a genuine Greek feast.
