Athens bids farewell to the Carnival with parades, music, laughter and traditional delicacies!

Sunday 22/02/2026 – 17:00 – Carnival Parade

Syntagma Square – Ermou – Aiolou – Kotzia Square,

A spectacular show with carnivalists, dance, music and many surprises. The opening will be given by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens, while the musical groups Bloco Swingueira, Global Daoulia, the cultural association “O Molyvos” and the Greek Cheerleaders team will keep the rhythm going. At the same time, the radio station Lampsi 92.3 will broadcast live from a radio booth in Syntagma Square.

Sunday 22/02/2026 – 19:00 – Kotzia Square – Carnival Party

The big carnival parade will end at Kotzia Square, where famous actor Dimitris Makalias will welcome the carnivalists. A big carnival party will follow with Athens D-Jay 95.2, which will broadcast carnival music rhythms.

Clean Monday 23.02.26 – Filopappou Hill | Koulouma

11:00 | Musical walk by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens.

11:30 | Traditional island feast with Nikos Economides’ band and traditional Lenten dishes.

Η Αθήνα αποχαιρετά την Αποκριά με χρώματα, μουσικές, γέλια και παραδόσεις

Κυριακή 22/02/2026 – 17:00 – Αποκριάτικη Παρέλαση

Πλατεία Συντάγματος – Ερμού – Αιόλου – πλατεία Κοτζιά

Ένα εκπληκτικό σόου με καρναβαλιστές, χορό, μουσική και πολλές εκπλήξεις. Την έναρξη θα δώσει η Φιλαρμονική Ορχήστρα Δήμου Αθηναίων, ενώ τα μουσικά σχήματα Bloco Swingueira, Global Daoulia, ο πολιτιστικός σύλλογος «Ο Μόλυβος» η Ελληνική ομάδα Cheerleaders θα κρατούν δυνατό το ρυθμό. Παράλληλα, ο ραδιοφωνικός σταθμός Λάμψη 92,3 θα εκπέμπει ζωντανά από radio booth στην πλατεία Συντάγματος.

Κυριακή 22/02/2026 – 19:00 – Πλατεία Κοτζιά – Αποκριάτικο Πάρτι

Η μεγάλη αποκριάτικη παρέλαση θα τερματίσει στην Πλατεία Κοτζιά, όπου ο Δημήτρης Μακαλιάς θα υποδέχεται τους καρναβαλιστές. Θα ακολουθήσει ένα μεγάλο αποκριάτικο πάρτι με τον Athens Dee Jay 95,2, που θα μεταδίδει καρναβαλικούς μουσικούς ρυθμούς.

11:00 | Μουσικός περίπατος της Φιλαρμονικής Ορχήστρας Δήμου Αθηναίων.

11:30 | Νησιώτικο παραδοσιακό γλέντι με το συγκρότημα του Νίκου Οικονομίδη και παραδοσιακά σαρακοστιανά εδέσματα.
